Focusing on intergenerational equity, our 2024 conference aims to drive forward practical solutions across a wide range of policy areas, from housing to energy policy, transport, education, and economic policy.

The event will also feature a Policy Impact Exhibition where leading research and policy institutes showcase their latest projects and impact in this space.

Investing in early interventions for intergenerational equity

Investment in early interventions can promote greater intergenerational equity and chart a more prosperous, inclusive economy in the future. While various factors are exacerbating intergenerational inequality and wealth disparity around the world, this session will explore approaches to early interventions across sectors and the investments that will leverage fairer outcomes for all communities.

Setting strategic directions for the Australian economy: shaping the markets

This session will consider how policy can set new directions for a thriving, inclusive, and sustainable economy for Australia. In light of the Future Made in Australia agenda, the panel will consider major economic challenges and opportunities including boosting productivity, ensuring a future-ready job market, leveraging and promoting key industries and emerging technologies, and aligning the markets for environmental sustainability, amongst others. 

Leveraging partnerships for future-ready infrastructure

This session will consider how partnerships can drive the development of future-ready infrastructure by creatively addressing evolving societal needs, harnessing technological advancements, and tackling environmental challenges head-on.
