JMI is excited to announce the launch of The Policymaker Podcast, a new limited-edition podcast series for 2025 that delves into some of the biggest public policy opportunities today.

The series shares perspectives and experiences from a variety of experts in government, universities, industry and the community on effective and inclusive policymaking for the public good. Over the course of this season, it will look at some key topics on the minds of leading policy thinkers, considering how they impact Australian communities.

Today’s launch marks the release of two episodes, the first on AI & Equity and the second on the Net Zero Transition, featuring contributions from:

  • Julie Inman Grant – Australia’s eSafety Commissioner
  • Anthony Lean – Secretary, NSW Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water.
  • Associate Professor Ramona Vijeyarasa – Faculty of Law, University of Technology Sydney and Head & Creator of the Gender Legislative Index
  • Dr Juliette Tobias-Webb – Translational Science and Behavioural Design Architect, Charles Sturt University
  • Beth Mitchell – Head of Strategy, Beyond Zero Emissions
  • Dr Thomas Longden – Senior Research Fellow, Urban Transformations Research Centre, Western Sydney University & JMI 2023 Grant Winner

Going forward, the Policymaker Podcast will delve into topics such as social cohesion, regional health, higher education and much more.
