Camilla Lonsdale

Director, Projects

Camilla is the Director of Projects at the James Martin Institute of Public Policy.

Camilla is a highly skilled at complex policy evaluation and design, and partnering with experts to deliver new and evidence-based insights. She has over a decade of experience as a public policy consultant and advisor for human services, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander affairs and health agencies/departments across Australia.

Prior to joining JMI, Camilla led transformation and change for St Vincent’s Health Australia’s ten private hospitals. Camilla worked collaboratively with clinicians to develop and implement evidence-based improvements within a post-COVID 19, cost-of-living crisis context. During her time at Nous Group, most recently as a Director in the Public Policy Practice, she worked on a range of government projects in partnership with researchers, legal and regulatory specialists, and community experts.

Camilla holds a Bachelor of Criminology and Criminal Justice (University of NSW) and a Master of International Security Law (Australian National University), where she was selected to participate in the Geneva program.
